There are exceptions...

We (me and my husband Sundar) landed our foot in the US soils on January 26th 2007. Sundar's first job was in Virginia. So we stayed in a hotel In Virginia till we found a house.

It took us a week to find  ourselves a place to live in.The next , furnishing the house. We didnt have a car ,so were dependent on the local taxis.

We had decided to go to Walmart and buy a few stuffs to fill in our house. So, Sundar called a taxi and we were waiting for him to pick us up.we got  a call from the taxi guy in 15 minutes letting us know that he  has arrived. The driver was a pakistani and we soon picked up a conversation. He went on and on about his life in the US and blah blah...

When we arrived at our destination,we got out and asked him  the usual question."What is the charge?"he looked at us and said "I wont take money from you. You are an Indian and my very good friend is an indian. So i dont want any money." He said that and  even before we could realise long gone amidst the other cars. The charge would have been around $40 for sure.

9/11 attacks and the recent 26/11 attacks are blamed after pakistanis and muslims..and here is a guy who didnt take money from us just because we were indians.

There are exceptions...:)
